ECR Promotion Events: Yes (1. AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards: Annual Meeting Early-career scientists presenting a meritorious proffered paper at the AACR Annual Meeting may apply for AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards. 2. Global Scholar-in-Training Awards The Global Scholar-in-Training Awards are available to eligible early-career investigators in countries designated by the World Bank as low-, lower-middle, or upper-middle income economies (LMIC), who wish to participate in the AACR Annual Meeting. Eligible scientists are full-time graduate students currently engaged in their doctoral research, residents, clinical or postdoctoral fellows, and early-career researchers (within 10 years of doctoral-level degree conferral). Only applicants who are citizens or permanent residents of a LMIC and who currently reside in a LMIC may receive one of these awards. 3. Women in Cancer Research Scholar Awards Available for members of Women in Cancer Research who are scientists-in-training and presenters of meritorious scientific papers at AACR Annual Meetings may apply for WICR Scholar Awards. 4. Minority and Minority-serving Institution Faculty Scholar in Cancer Research Awards Full-time minority faculty members and faculty members of Minority-serving Institutions [Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and other Minority Institutions] may apply for Minority and Minority-serving Institution Faculty Scholar in Cancer Research Awards for attendance at the AACR Annual Meeting or special conferences. 5. Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Awards Graduate/medical students, residents, and clinical/postdoctoral fellows from groups considered to be underrepresented in cancer research by NCI (African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, Native-Americans, Native Pacific Islanders, and Native Alaskans) may apply for Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Awards available for attendance at the AACR Annual Meeting or special conferences. 6. AACR Undergraduate Scholar Awards AACR-Undergraduate Scholar Awards (formerly named the Thomas J. Bardos Science Education Awards), are available to full-time, third-year undergraduate students majoring in science, for participation in two consecutive AACR Annual Meetings. The purpose of these awards is to inspire promising science students to enter the field of cancer research. AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards: Other Conferences and Meetings In addition to the Scholar-in-Training Awards provided at the AACR Annual Meeting, a number of AACR Scholar-in-Training Awards are also available for scientists in training attending AACR’s other conferences and meetings throughout the year. Travel Awards for ECRs: Yes(CSCO Young Investigator Travel Awards: The AACR is pleased to offer the CSCO Young Investigator Travel Awards to AACR members who attended and presented their work at the recent AACR Annual Meeting, so they also may attend and present their work at the CSCO Annual Meeting. The CSCO Annual Meeting is held each September in Xiamen, China. These travel awards are made possible through AACR’s partnership with the Chinese Society for Clinical Oncology (CSCO).)
