On-site Childcare Facilities/Services: Yes (100 euro per child, for children aged 3 months - 3 years old) Who and where?: Children are looked after on campus by our highly professional kindergarten teachers in the EMBL Kinderhaus. Languages: The two main languages of the carers are German and English. Childcare times: 8:30am - 5:50pm for the duration of the conference, Registration fee: €100 per child, per conference. Whats provided?: All necessary equipment such as meals, beds, toys and diapers are provided. Criteria: The following criteria must be met to be eligible for EMBL childcare: The child must be between 3 months and 3 yearsOne or both parents must be registered participants to the corresponding conferenceIf your child has special dietary needs, requires medicine or special nappies, this must be provided for the duration of the conferenceYou must agree to the EMBL Kinderhaus Medical GuidelinesValid travel insurance is required (in addition to the EMBL visitors insurance that covers the child during the conference). Caregiver Grant: Yes (Organizers of EMBO events can allocate funds to offset additional child care costs incurred by participants or speakers when participating at any EMBO funded meeting. Up to €1000 are provided for each course or workshop in addition to the core funding awarded. Eligible costs include fees for a baby-sitter or child-care facility, travel costs for a care giver, or travel costs for taking the child to the meeting etc. The selection is handled by the organisers of the respective meetings.)

Travel Awards for ECRs: Yes (A limited number of travel grants is available for eligible participants who are selected to attend EMBO Workshops, EMBO Practical Courses, EMBO | FEBS Lecture Courses, EMBO | EMBL Symposia: Limited financial assistance is provided by the EMBL Advanced Training Centre Corporate Partnership Programme and EMBO in the form of both registration fee waivers and travel grants. Travel Grant: The travel grant will cover the cost of travel (airfare, train, bus, taxi, accommodation, visa) and is provided up to specified caps which are normally as follows: - €400 for participants travelling to an EMBO|EMBL Symposium from within Europe. - €1000 for participants travelling to an EMBO|EMBL Symposium from outside Europe. These caps are subject to reduction at the organiser’s discretion to accommodate more participants. Recipients will be notified of their travel cap amount when they are informed of the outcome of their application. Original receipts must be provided with your signature for all costs incurred within two months of completion of travel. Scanned copies cannot be accepted.)
