Travel Awards for ECRs: Yes (10 travel awards $440 each: ECS Fellowships: The travel fellowships aim to help scientists attending the ECS Meeting by covering partially or fully their travel expenses. There are two types of fellowships: Junior travel fellowships, The ECS will allocate 10 grants of maximally 400 Euros to young researchers to facilitate their attendance. The selection will be based on abstract quality. The following conditions apply: Applicant (student or postdoc) must be below 36 years old. Applicant should be member of the ECS (ECS dues for 2018 fully paid). Applicant should have registered and paid the registration fee before applying. Applicant should indicate at abstract submission that he/she applies for an ECS fellowship. Travel fellowships for established scientists from emerging countries. The ECS will allocate 3 grants of maximally 600 Euros to researchers from emerging countries to facilitate their attendance. The selection will be based on abstract quality and motivation letter. The following conditions apply: Applicant should be member of the ECS (ECS dues for 2018 fully paid). Applicant should have registered, submitted an abstract and paid the registration fee before applying. Applicant should send a letter to Jan Parys (jan.parys@kuleuven.be) motivating his/her request for an ECS fellowship.)
