On-site Childcare Facilities/Services: Yes (To support family participation in the conference, conference child care will be available through a Children’s Institute. This institute is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education. Services are provided by the Central Intermediate Unit #10, using trained professional and support staff. The institute offers an on-site, structured, and fun environment for Pennsylvania-resident children and youth (six months through age 21) with autism and their siblings. Registration is limited to 100 participants. A parent or guardian must be in The Penn Stater building and must be accessible (by cell phone, e.g.) during all Children’s Institute hours.)
Caregiver Grant: Yes (The Parent Scholarship is available for first-time attendees to the National Autism Conference who are Pennsylvania residents and parent(s) of a child with autism. Parents of children who receive Early Intervention services are eligible, regardless of whether they have attended in the past.)

Travel Awards for ECRs: Yes (Student scholarships are available for the National Autism Conference to encourage Pennsylvania university and college students and recent graduates to pursue a career working with students with autism spectrum disorders and to become informed on evidence-based practices. Scholarship Details and Eligibilit: The Student Scholarship is available to a limited number of Pennsylvania university and college students in special education or a related field with a 2019 or 2020 graduation date. Reimbursement for travel expenses will be available to accepted student scholarship applicants attending the National Autism Conference. These funds will be provided through the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN), the Pennsylvania Department of Education, and the Pennsylvania Bureau of Special Education. Please note that persons employed in a professional capacity by a school entity at the time of the conference should follow the attendance and reimbursement policy of the school entity. Applicants are encouraged to make their hotel arrangements immediately, as lodging accommodations become more limited as the conference date approaches. Daily lunch and snacks will be provided as part of the National Autism Conference. Receipts for any additional approved expenses must be submitted for reimbursement. Allowable Expenses for Reimbursement: Complimentary conference registration. Lodging reimbursement up to $140 per night, for a maximum amount of $560, during the conference (receipts required) if you live at least 30 miles from the conference location. Mileage to be reimbursed at $.575/mile and tolls, if you live more than 30 miles away. Meal reimbursement up to per diem expense that are NOT provided as part of the National Autism Conference. Per diem rate is $26 for dinner. (Continental breakfast, lunch and break service are provided at the conference.) First and last day of travel will be reimbursed at 75percent of the per diem no matter what time the traveler departs or returns. Meal receipts are not required.)
