Travel Awards for ECRs: Yes (1. Outstanding Scientist Scholarships are available to ABRF members who have made significant contributions to their institutional shared resource facility or to the ABRF. The scholarship is to be used to offset the cost of attending the ABRF 2020 Meeting and all ABRF members are eligible. Students, postdoctoral fellows, laboratory technicians, junior staff, and administrators directly associated with the mission of member laboratories are encouraged to apply. The award amount is $600 for domestic (USA) members, $750 for International North American members, and $1,000 for International non-North American members, and are to be used to offset the costs associated with meeting attendance (for example, travel and lodging). Complimentary registration for ABRF Annual Meeting is included as part of the scholarship. 2. The Founder’s Award is a new scholarship opportunity for the ABRF 2020 meeting aimed at supporting core staff scientists who are in the early stages of their careers. The Founder’s Award was started by Ronald L. Niece, a founding member of the ABRF, to provide core staff the opportunity to help advance their careers by engaging and participating in the ABRF meeting. Up to two core staff scientists will receive an additional $250 (on top of the Outstanding Scientist Scholarship) to be used to offset the costs associated meeting attendance. Founder’s Award application information will be collected as part of the Outstanding Scientist Scholarship application form.)
