On-site Maternity Facilities: Yes (The WMMC 2019 will be a Baby-friendly Conference and you are welcome to come with your baby. A nursing room will be available Monday-Thursday. This room will be set up for breastfeeding and for parents to be able to stay and rest with their own babies. Please, note that no childcare will be provided. The Conference can provide your companion/baby sitter a special pass to enter the venue and the nursery room, to give you support with your baby care, but this pass will not allow her/him to any other conference spaces such as those dedicated to oral or poster sessions, exhibitors or plenary sessions, and coffee-breaks. To receive this pass, please contact registration@wmmconference.org before your arrival, and provide the name of the companion/baby sitter so that we can have it prepared for you. If you wish to bring your family to the Opening Icebreaker or the Closing Banquet, you must purchase guest tickets for these events. Children under 12 are permitted in free of charge to these events. Baby changing tables are provided in multiple locations as well)

ECR Promotion Events: The Student Annual General Meeting is open to all students registered at the conference and will include short presentations from people from different societies to enhance intersociety collaboration and mentoring, presentations from NGO’s offering opportunities for students, and more. In addition, students will be able to give their opinion/suggestions on how to better address student needs within our respective societies.

The Centro de Convenciones Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) was chosen as our conference venue because of its environmental certificate of sustainability. To reduce Conference carbon emissions, we will not be printing the entire program, but will instead offer a small pocket guide, and your welcome package will contain a coffee mug that can be used throughout the conference.)
